Pittosporum cornifolium, or Tawhirikaro.

A small woody shrub, this species grows to about 2m width and height. This is a slow growing plant, so we would recommend planting this species from a seedling rather than seeds.

They prefer partial to full shade, and shelter from wind. Plant before summer, so the plants have a good chance to develop their root system before the soil dries out.

They would be a great option for your berm, as they are very attractive to a range of insects, which are beneficial for the local ecosystem.
